The easiest way to find upcoming matches is through PractiScore. If you are in the SW Washington/NW Oregon area, check out these clubs:

Most matches have a โNew Shooterโ checkbox during registration. Be sure to check it! If you have any questions, use the contact info listed on the clubโs PractiScore page to reach the Match Director.

๐ Read Up Before You Go
To get the most out of your first match:
- Review the New Shooter Info.
- Familiarize yourself with key safety rules:
- 2.4 Safety Areas: Designated spaces for handling unloaded firearms. No ammo allowed.
- 10.4 Accidental Discharges: Shots in unsafe directions or during improper handling can lead to disqualification.
- 10.5 Unsafe Gun Handling: Covers sweeping, dropping firearms, finger on trigger violations, etc.

Match Day
๐ Arrival & Signup
Get to the range earlyโusually between 08:00โ08:30โto check in, attend the new shooter briefing, and get paired with a mentor on your squad. The rest of your squad will be very friendly to you as a new shooter, and will do what they can to make your first match go well.

Your goals for the day:
- Shoot safely: Follow all Range Officer commands and safety rules.
- Learn the flow: Trust your mentor and take things slow.
- Have fun: Everyone started as a new shooter. Youโre in good company.
